If you have not heard, this dude Ben Bernanke is the new chairman at the Federal Reserve in the United States. As the leader of the central bank of the U.S. you'd hope that he'd have top notch crack analysts on his staff to give him the critical intelligence that the Fed need to run the show.

I know, we've all got that Alan Greenspan guy burned in our brains as the chief at the Federal Reserve, but he left before he had a heart attack. Actually I be Alan would be a lot of fun at a party.

I honestly didn't know that Greenspan dated and then married journalist Andrea Mitchell till I looked up the history of Alan. Lucky guy.

Anyway, I bet old 'Greenie', as his friends should call him, let a big one rip because he was laughing so hard when Ben Bernanke stated:

"We do not expect significant spillovers from the subprime market to the rest of the economy or to the financial systems" - Ben Bernanke, May, 17 2007.
