Budgets and Spending Plans

When people are working with a credit counselor or working up their own budget they often hear or believe that they should not make religious contributions and should not put any money in savings while they are making debt repayments. Instead, some believe that every dollar should be used towards debt reduction. What is your opinion?
In case you are not familiar with a warehouse store it is a store where people have to usually pay a membership fee to gain entrance (unless you just ask for a one day pass - shhh). These stores look like giant warehouses with rows and rows of tall steel shelves that are loaded with good on pallets by forklift. Usually on the floor level or first shelf are items consumers can place into their shopping cart. Merchandise usually includes everything you would find at a typical grocery store or mega store like Walmart, Super Target.
So Pam and I were talking about where to shop for the best prices and rather than guess, we got in the car and went price comparing. The results may surprise you, they did me.
There are no magic rules that will solve everyone's financial troubles. But several suggestions should help you stay out of financial hot water. If you have a family, everyone will have to participate — no one person can do all the work alone. So make sure your spouse or partner, and the kids, understand that the family is having financial difficulties and agree together to take the steps that will lead to recovery.
With all of the possible life effects that late payments can have on your financial future, it is more important than ever to take control of your bills.  Whether you're drowning in debt or living high on the hog, these simple rules will help you stay organized to avoid those monthly migraines when the mail arrives.
